Peptide calculator info

This free peptide calculator helps researchers work out reconstitution and measurement in the lab. Enter your vial amount in mg, your mixing water in mL and a required sample size in mcg or mg. The tool returns the volume to draw and insulin units for common U-100 syringes.

Also called a peptide reconstitution calculator or peptide dilution calculator, it converts mg↔mL and mcg↔IU and suggests easy draw points for typical vials.

1mL = 100IU

1mg = 1000 mcg

1UI = 0.01mL

Example 1: 10mg peptide vial

Scenario: 10mg peptide, want 250 mcg sample

Recommendation: Add 2mL bacteriostatic water

Result: Draw 0.05mL (5 IU) for ~250 mcg sample

Example 2: 5mg peptide vial

Scenario: 5mg peptide, want 500 mcg sample

Recommendation: Add 1mL bacteriostatic water

Result: Draw 0.1mL (10 IU) for ~500 mcg sampl

How do I reconstitute lyophilised peptides?

Add bacteriostatic water slowly to your peptide vial. Use the calculator to determine the volume needed for your intended concentration. For in vitro research only.

What syringe size is shown?

U-100 insulin syringes, selectable as 0.3 mL, 0.5 mL, or 1 mL.

How do I convert mg to mcg?

1 mg equals 1000 mcg. The calculator keeps both in sync.L.

What’s the difference between mL and IU?

mL is volume. IU are unit markings on U-100 syringes where 1 mL equals 100 IU.
